This is a vintage Art Deco sterling silver circular wirework pin or brooch with Egyptian Revival design elements, featuring a central vignette of a horse drawn chariot with a pharaoh hunting with bow and arrow. Surrounding the central vignette is a border of beautiful wirework and thicker sterling line details, evoking the shapes of lotus flowers. The outside of the brooch is bordered with an intricate twisted rope element.
This brooch is in excellent vintage condition with minor age-appropriate wear, namely some patina consistent with age that adds a beautiful vintage integrity for the wearer. The back of the brooch has a long pin back with a c-closure, all functioning. The piece is marked with what we have researched to be the sterling mark.
It measures 1 3/4 inches wide in diameter.
