TCI & RR Co. Fairfield Works #266 employee badge collectible railroad badges

This is a badge from the Tennessee Coal Iron & Railroad Company. (1852-1952).

This company was a major steel co. in the USA.  It was founded in Tennnesse as a mining co. and became the largest iron and steel co. in Birmingham. In 1907 TCI became the primary subsidiary of US Steel which eventually ended the TCI entity which was absorbed into the US Steel co. TCI became part of US Steel and lost there name in 1952.
